Courtyard Condominiums

Today there are 56 condominiums with all the benefits of being one block from everything, just like 1947, the year it was built.

The Courtyard has all the history from its days as a hotel court and is now a gated condominium community with onsite laundry, outdoor pool, mail room and assigned parking.

Originally built as The Romer Hotel Court it is described on the back of one postcard as “The Romer Hotel Court, catering to those who care. Rates by day or week. One minute from everything – one block from Bath House Row in the heart of the business section. 111 prospect Ave at Central. 116 brick cottages, apartments and hotel rooms, each with phone, private tile bath, furnace heat, free garage, air cooled and ceiling fans. One of the largest hotel courts in United States.”

Another postcard which appears to have been circulated in the 1950s describes “The Romer Hotel Court, the only Downtown Hotel-Motel. 111 Prospect Avenue. 50 feet from Central Avenue, one block from Bath House Row, 116 units/cottages, kitchens, hotel rooms, single and double units, all with double beds, newly decorated and furnished, air conditioned, free ample parking, TV, room phones and spacious TV lounge.”
